Front of House Supervisor

We're recruiting an experienced Front of House Supervisor who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating outstanding guest experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Compass Group UK & Ireland's Defence sector on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

As a Front of House Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading our customer-facing operations, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, and hospitality are maintained at all times. You'll support and motivate your team, lead by example, and help create a welcoming environment for all customers and visitors.

Please note: This role is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year.

What you'll be doing

As a Front of House Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the day-to-day front of house operation to ensure excellent customer service at all times.
• Leading and motivating customer service teams to deliver a consistently high standard of hospitality.
• Supporting the management team in achieving operational objectives, KPIs, and performance targets.
• Acting as an ambassador for Compass Group UK & Ireland and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Building strong relationships with customers and responding professionally to queries and feedback.
• Ensuring all front of house areas are clean, welcoming, and presented to the highest standards.
• Supporting the training, development, and onboarding of team members.
• Managing staffing levels, delegating duties, and ensuring effective rota coverage.
• Monitoring service standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety, Food Safety, and company compliance standards.

Who we're looking for

Our ideal Front of House Supervisor will:

• Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality.
• Have previous experience in a customer-facing supervisory role within hospitality, catering, retail, leisure, or a similar environment.
• Have experience leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
• Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
• Be confident dealing with customers and handling service-related issues professionally.
• Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
• Have good attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
• Be ambitious, motivated, and keen to develop their career within a leading organisation.
