Chef de Partie
Love great food? Ready to make your mark in a kitchen where quality, creativity and teamwork come first?
Restaurant Associates is looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our client site in Canary Wharf.
You’ll take ownership of your own section, working alongside our senior chefs to deliver high-quality food with consistency, creativity and attention to detail. From supporting seasonal menus and exciting events to helping junior chefs develop, you’ll play a key role in the kitchen’s success.
We’re looking for someone with strong culinary skills, a positive attitude, a commitment to food safety and a passion for great food.
The best part? This is a weekday operation, so you can enjoy your weekends off and maintain a great work-life balance!
Breakfast shift - 6am – 2.30pm
What you’ll be doing
- Own your section: Take responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes, maintaining consistently high standards throughout service.
- Deliver exceptional food: Ensure every dish meets our expectations for taste, quality, consistency and presentation.
- Keep service running smoothly: Work closely with senior chefs and colleagues to deliver food promptly, efficiently and to specification.
- Support and inspire others: Lead by example, share your knowledge and help develop junior team members.
- Bring menus to life: Contribute to seasonal menus, daily specials, themed events and new ideas that keep our food offering exciting.
- Champion food safety: Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures, ensuring a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.
- Work smarter and sustainably: Maintain accurate portion control, store ingredients correctly and minimise food waste wherever possible.
- Stay organised: Participate in stock takes, support stock control and ensure ingredients and equipment are managed effectively.
- Keep learning: Take part in daily briefings, welcome feedback and look for opportunities to improve your skills and the way the kitchen operates.
- Be a great teammate: Build positive working relationships, communicate effectively and contribute to a kitchen culture built on respect, professionalism and care.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
- Strong cooking skills, sound culinary knowledge and pride in your craft.
- The ability to organise and manage your section effectively, even during busy services.
- A good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Confidence in supporting, guiding and encouraging junior team members.
- A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and the initiative to solve problems.
- A passion for fresh, quality food, sustainable practices and continuous improvement.
