CHEF DE PARTIE | CHRIST'S HOSPITAL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL | £31,886

We are now recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our catering team at Christ's Hospital Independent School in Horsham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef to work within a prestigious independent school environment, preparing fresh, high-quality food and helping to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for your section, ensuring food is prepared, cooked and presented to a consistently high standard while supporting the wider kitchen team.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Running your section to the required standards and specifications

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting fresh food to the required quality and portion standards

  • Supporting the delivery of pizza and wider catering services to a high standard

  • Ensuring all food is prepared in line with Food Safety, HACCP and allergen requirements

  • Following all company and client Health & Safety procedures and food information regulations

  • Supporting and training Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants within your section

  • Ensuring food is stored correctly and waste is minimised

  • Assisting with food orders, deliveries and stock storage

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and surrounding areas

  • Using all kitchen machinery and equipment safely and correctly

  • Supporting the wider team to ensure an efficient and effective food service

  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the catering operation


WHO YOU ARE
  • An experienced Chef de Partie with a strong background in a professional kitchen

  • Passionate about fresh, high-quality food and delivering excellent standards

  • Confident running a section and working as part of a busy kitchen team

  • Experienced in food preparation, cooking and presentation

  • Creative, with a good knowledge of current food trends and culinary techniques

  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety, hygiene, Health & Safety and allergen requirements

  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work effectively under pressure

  • A good team player with the ability to motivate and support junior chefs

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality

  • Professional in presentation, communication and customer service
