Chef (Fixed-Term Contract - 12 Months)

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract, working 40 hours per week.

As a Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days. Joining the UK's leading food service company, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, work within a supportive team, and make a real impact every day.

Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers
• Supporting the planning and implementation of menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve food quality and service delivery
• Listening and responding to customer feedback to enhance the dining experience
• Assisting with the development of new menus and creative food concepts
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Ensuring compliance with Food Handling, Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for great food and excellent customer service
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ qualification, or equivalent
• Previous experience in a Chef role
• Experience supervising or supporting a kitchen team
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• A flexible and positive approach to work
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced catering environment
