Sous Chef - Bournemouth

£15 per hour | Monday–Friday

Are you a passionate Sous Chef looking for a great work-life balance, working Monday to Friday with your evenings and weekends largely free?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Bournemouth, supporting the kitchen operation and helping deliver fresh, high-quality food every day.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food to an excellent standard.
• Helping lead and motivate the kitchen team during service.
• Ensuring food is consistently presented to a high standard.
• Supporting with menu development and bringing new ideas and creativity to the kitchen.
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising food waste.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards.
• Ensuring all food is prepared and stored in line with company and legislative requirements.
• Supporting the Head Chef with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.
• A genuine passion for food and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong cooking skills and attention to detail.
• Experience leading or supporting a kitchen team.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Someone who takes pride in what they do and wants to develop their career.
