Salary: £13.17 per hour
Contract Type: Weekend -Zero Hour Position

Saturday 7am-3pm

Sunday 7am - 2pm

We're looking for a reliable and professional Helpdesk & Switchboard Operator to join our team. In this important role, you'll be the first point of contact for callers, handling a variety of enquiries while helping to keep critical communications running smoothly.

Whether you're responding to routine requests, coordinating urgent issues, or supporting emergency situations, your professionalism and attention to detail will make a real difference.

 

What You'll Be Doing

As a Helpdesk & Switchboard Operator, you will:

• Operate a computer-based switchboard system.
• Answer and manage incoming calls and service requests.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, including fire, trauma and security alerts.
• Record and maintain accurate information and logs.
• Provide administrative and clerical support as required.
• Respond confidently and professionally to emergency situations.
• Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous office, helpdesk or switchboard experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good IT and administrative skills
Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
Flexible approach to working weekends and varying shift patterns
