Commis Chef

Location: London
Pay: £15.40 per hour

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join a high-quality corporate operation in London.

Working alongside the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you’ll support food production across the whole operation, including the restaurant, pantry service, hospitality and events. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience and build your career in a professional kitchen.

You’ll help prepare fresh, high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of fresh ingredients

• Support food production across the restaurant, pantry, hospitality and events

• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards

• Prepare your section and ensure it is ready for service

• Help receive, check and store deliveries correctly

• Monitor stock and minimise food waste

• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organised

• Follow food safety, allergen, hygiene and health and safety procedures

• Respond positively to feedback and guidance from senior chefs

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

• Support the wider operation wherever required

About you

You’ll have a genuine interest in food and a strong desire to learn and develop. You’ll be reliable, organised and comfortable working as part of a busy kitchen team.

Previous kitchen experience or a relevant catering qualification would be helpful, but a positive attitude, good work ethic and passion for cooking are equally important.
