💼 Role Overview

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and catering facilities. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the kitchen while assisting chefs and the wider catering team where required.

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all health & safety and hygiene standards.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
• Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently
• Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
• Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations
• Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and storage procedures
• Keep floors, work surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitised at all times

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
• Understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks

🍃 Desirable Experience

• Previous kitchen porter, cleaning, or catering experience
• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
• Experience working within hospitality, or contract catering environments
