Role: Catering Assistant

Employment Type: Casual Contract offering daytime shifts between Monday to Friday

Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour

Constellation are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join the team in Leonminster.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of the staff catering facilities, helping to provide fresh food, beverages, and excellent service to employees and visitors on site.

You will work as part of a friendly catering team, ensuring food preparation areas, dining spaces, and service counters are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors
• Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions where required
• Replenish food displays, drinks, and catering supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and service areas
• Wash utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment
• Follow all food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures
• Support stock rotation and storage procedures
• Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Ensure a professional and positive attitude at all times

Essential Requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or retail
• Basic food hygiene knowledge or certification
• Experience using tills or working in customer-facing roles
