Are you an experienced Catering General Assistant who enjoys variety in your role? Join our catering team at the AMEX Offices in Brighton (please note: this is not the AMEX Stadium) and become part of a professional workplace catering environment delivering exceptional food and customer service.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll support all aspects of the catering operation, from serving customers and operating tills to food service, washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

Shift Information

• Monday to Friday daytime shifts
• Typical working hours are between 7:30am and 3:30pm (shift patterns vary depending on the site)
• Ongoing opportunities available

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing excellent face-to-face customer service
• Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately
• Serving food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner
• Assisting with food preparation when required
• Replenishing food counters and displays
• Washing up pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning kitchen, dining and service areas to a high standard
• Following Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and allergen procedures at all times
• Working collaboratively as part of a busy and professional catering team

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a mixed Catering General Assistant role is essential
• Experience operating tills and cash handling
• Excellent face-to-face customer service skills
• Experience serving food in a busy catering environment
• Experience with washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• A positive, professional and team-focused attitude
• Reliable, organised and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in workplace, hospitality or contract catering is preferred.
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
