About the Role
As a Lead Catering Assistant, you’ll take a key role within a dynamic, fast‑paced catering team, helping to drive excellence in service while supporting and guiding colleagues on a day‑to‑day basis. You’ll contribute to a positive, friendly work environment and act as a role model for best practice at all times. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading by example in preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
- Supporting the day-to-day supervision of the catering team, ensuring standards are consistently met
- Creating eye-catching food and counter displays that enhance the customer experience
- Assisting with onboarding, training, and coaching team members
- Proudly representing Compass Group Ireland and embodying our positive brand image
- Ensuring smooth service by overseeing transactions and supporting efficient use of the till system
- Maintaining the highest standards of Food Handling & Hygiene across the operation
- Supporting stock control, deliveries, and minimising waste
- Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
- Liaising with the Catering Manager and stepping up in their absence when required

- Have previous experience in a catering role; supervisory or team‑lead experience is desirable but not essential
