Restaurant Manager - Birchwood at The Conduit, London | Full-Time / Permanent

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and inspire our dedicated team, and oversee performance and success of our world-class restaurant at The Conduit  - one of London’s leading private members’ clubs.

This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing daily operations, developing the team, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while delivering strong commercial results. You will work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider teams to ensure a cohesive and high-performing operation.

Birchwood at The Conduit, led by chef Will Devlin, is a brand-new cafe and wine bar that will bring a fresh, ingredient-led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing. Expect bold, thoughtful dishes and a space designed for connection in the heart of Covent Garden.

Restaurant Manager - The Role

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing front of house team
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management, developing future leaders
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture with clear team communication
  • Own and elevate the guest experience with warm, personalised service
  • Build strong guest relationships and resolve feedback effectively
  • Lead from the floor, ensuring visible and engaged service leadership
  • Oversee daily operations to deliver smooth, efficient service
  • Maintain high standards and strong coordination across FOH, kitchen, and bar
  • Drive financial performance, including labour control and revenue growth
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and company standards

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior FOH leader
  • Strong leadership and team development capability
  • Excellent understanding of restaurant operations and service standards
  • Commercially aware with experience managing costs and performance
  • Passion for hospitality, food and guest experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, visible and inspiring leader
  • Guest-focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Commercially driven and results-focused
  • Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
