About the Role
We're recruiting an experienced Deputy General Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm.
As a Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the overall management of the contract to ensure great quality, consistent food and beverage services across 5 outlets
- Maintain positive client relationships to ensure we are true partners in their business
- Ensure smooth planning of the contract and resources to deliver a first-class food and beverage service
- Lead, recruit, train & develop your team
- Ensure the contract is fully compliant with company policies and procedures
- Assist on the delivery of the agreed financial budget and run commercially in line with net income and cost targets
- You will ensure that your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget.
- Working with your Operations Manager you will monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, identify training needs and ensuring we are meeting the standards required by the client.
- Using your creative skills to create and implement outside the box ideas to ensure a thriving and successful working environment
About You:
- A successful background in Contract Catering and/ or Hospitality Catering
- Excellent management & leadership skills to engage and motivate teams
- Communication skills - written & oral communication
- Experience with Data management
- Quality and process driven with particular focus on delivering results A passion for food and customer service
- Ability to deliver an exceptional Customer experience
- Previous budget management and/or profit & loss responsibility - proven track record in managing P&L and achieving budgets
- Knowledge of SAP & Nexus
- Creative and innovative – think outside the box for ideas and solutions.
