Senior Sales Executive  - The Role

A Senior Sales role aimed at revenue generation for non-match day meetings and events at The Twickenham Stoop (Harlequins RFC) by identifying, managing and penetrating key accounts across a variety of market segments and venue agencies to reach and exceed set revenue targets. 

 

A key part of the role will be to assist the Head of C & E Sales to drive forward the C&E Sales function through overall responsibility for diary management, key account management and proactive sales & marketing activity.

 

The Senior Sales Executive will work closely with the wider Harlequins team to maximize all meetings and events revenue in the stadium through thorough process, innovative and creative thinking and a growth mindset.

 

 

Key Responsibilities- 

 

  • To act as the Lead Sales Manager as and when required in absence of Head of C & E Sales
  • To identify, penetrate and manage key conference and events accounts. Accounts to include corporate accounts and major conference agents. 
  • To research and target specific market segments through sales and marketing activities to secure sales 
  • To work with the in-house team and the Head of C & E Sales to ensure clear communication of account needs and account activity. All activity must be in line to achieve the venue’s key business objectives.
  • To deliver monthly revenue and activity reports as specified by the Head of C & E Sales.
  • To maintain contact with key accounts through face to face, telephone, written, direct mail activity and client events.
  • To represent the venue at networking events as required.
  • Coordinate and lead familiarization tours for key conference agents ensuring those guests attending are key decision makers.
  • To support sales and marketing initiatives including exhibition attendance, customer events and client initiatives.  
  • Monitor competitor activities including special promotions and pricing initiatives.
  • Take a senior lead on achievement of annual budget target
  • Achievement of personal new business target
  • Management and delivery of account plans for key accounts
  • Achieve agreed amount of proactive activities including but not limited to, client visits, emails & calls 
  • Produce accurate sales and forecast reports upon request
  • In conjunction with the Head of  C & E Sales contribute to creation of Sales & Marketing plan, monitor and adjust as needed
