Up to £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience) | 37.5 hours per week
Predominantly Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a large, established catering operation, managing a team of 15 and delivering high-quality food across multiple daily service periods.

The Role

As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the catering operation, leading from the front with a hands-on approach while overseeing planning, compliance, and team performance. You will ensure smooth delivery across all service times and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Service Times:

• Breakfast: 06:00–08:00

• Lunch: 11:30–13:00

• Evening Meal: 17:30–19:30

This role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, offering strong work–life balance. However, flexibility is essential, with an expectation to support weekend services and functions as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 15

• Taking a hands-on role in food production and service delivery

• Managing rotas, labour control, and operational planning

• Overseeing stock management, ordering, and budget control

• Ensuring full compliance with food safety and Health & Safety legislation

• Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement

• Maintaining high standards across breakfast, lunch, and evening service

• Proven experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering leadership role

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Confident managing multiple service periods in a busy environment

• Flexible and proactive approach to meeting business demands
