We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an Event Planner to join the Rapport team in a stunning location overlooking some of the most breathtaking views of Canary Wharf. You will be part of a diverse, high‑performing team committed to delivering service excellence every day.

Contract type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 per week (Monday-Friday; shift rota basis, with flexibility for overtime as per business needs)

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Employment will be subject to a successful 6-year vetting outcome.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee and take ownership of the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of events, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high‑profile client needs, resolving issues promptly and professionally while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage all meeting and event requests, confirming details, allocating suitable spaces, coordinating logistics, and preparing detailed set‑up information for operational teams.
  • Coordinate all client and host requirements, managing updates, changes, or cancellations across relevant teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor service quality and team performance, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and escalating concerns when necessary.

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least one year of events experience taking full ownership of the full lifecycle of events in a similar environment (e.g., five-star hotels, corporate establishments, or premium airlines).
  • Be proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills,
  • Possess an outgoing personality, easily building rapport with various stakeholders, including VIPs,
  • Be a customer-focused team player recognised for being patient, friendly, and reliable.
