Deputy Housekeeping Manager

Kings Hospital - £40,000 Per Annum

Are you an organised and motivated leader with a keen eye for detail? We’re seeking a Deputy Housekeeping Manager to support the smooth, efficient delivery of housekeeping services across our site, working closely with our NHS partners and the wider facilities team. In this role, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, lead and support staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in leading and supervising the housekeeping team
  • Coordinate daily tasks, rotas, and service delivery
  • Carry out regular audits and quality checks
  • Assist with stock control and cost‑efficient ordering
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and COSHH requirements
  • Provide training, coaching, and day‑to‑day guidance to staff
  • Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a housekeeping or domestic services supervisory role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
  • Good knowledge of COSHH and health & safety standards
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality
  • A proactive, flexible, and hands‑on approach
