Purchasing & Supply Chain
Compass UK & Ireland spends in excess of £800m each year on goods and services. We also deliver to 7,000 units per week, at a service level of no less than 98%. And we maintain a range of around 11,000 products.
Our purchasing and supply chain comprises five teams; Purchasing, Supply Chain, Purchasing Services, Strategy and Finance. Working to support each other, their combined objective is a fully managed supply chain that meets the demands of our customers and clients.
Corporate responsibility has a major influence on our supply chain, as we have a responsibility to ourselves, our customers and clients to source and distribute products and services responsibly.
In view of this, we have already taken steps to reduce the number of deliveries and mileage, and are purchasing UK-sourced products whenever they are in season. We are also promoting the collection and processing of waste cooking oil from Compass sites into bio-diesel for delivery vehicles.
As a member of our purchasing team, you’ll be expected to continue our good work and help us plan even more initiatives for the future. But at the same time, you’ll ensure we keep the cost of products and distribution down.
