We’ve already implemented industry leading standards across all our business sectors, including operations in remote and hostile environments. And our health, safety and environment policies are reviewed annually to ensure they reflect our aims, and continue to align with legislation.
The UK Health, Safety and Environment department comprises two teams, these are:
Assigned to a specific geographical area, these Managers work with Compass Group UK and Ireland’s 7,000 unit managers on all aspects of food safety, and health and safety. Many have senior environmental health experience and are members of professional bodies.
This team ensures products and services supplied to Compass Group UK and Ireland are safe and fit for purpose. All potential suppliers are audited by the Vendor Assurance team, and when a new contract is gained, our operations team carry out ‘New Unit’ assessments to evaluate client premises and equipment.
Employee training is vital to ensuring we operate in a safe work environment. Join us in this area and you’ll take part in a number of internal training courses on health and safety, including ‘Food Safety’ and ‘Risk Assessment’.
